Visited the Kavalan distillery, was a great experience. We did the DIY Whiskey option where you get to blend your own bottle of whiskey. The whiskey lab gives you 4 different beakers of whiskey, Oloroso, Bourbon, Port and Peated. And you blend based on your preferences. Then they will bottle a 300 ml bottle for you. It was 1800 NTD but you get a unique bottle all your own.
Adding to the review, one of my bottle leaked I found out before I took it on the airplane, so I wrapped it in plastic food wrap and tapped it shut. That seems to have worked.
@kavalan Distillery, please have heat shrink plastic wrap tops for the DIY whiskey to ensure a great seal.
Still a great experience, I would go again next time I am in Taiwan.
Very great experience to visit how the whiskey was made and also whiskey testing, yum yum.. especially good price to buying a bottle of whiskey
